The Eyebrow Healing Process

What to expect after getting a Microshading?

Touch up Appointment:

During this appointment, be sure to bring up any spots you’d like to change, you have the chance to adjust the shape, the color, or any gaps you have noticed over the previous four weeks.

Day 01:

Your brows will feel slightly sensitive, and as the healing process has begun the area will begin to weep with lymph, which is a common wound healing response. Avoid building a scab at this stage by patting the area dry with a clean tissue.

Day 02:

The redness and swelling should have decreased, but the brows are now darker than day 01. After the ink has been absorbed into the skin, there are different stages of color variation before the healed results. Be assured that this dark pigment will fade, and your brows will seem up to 60% lighter after healing.

Day 03 to 05:

Your brows might be starting to itch and flake, allow the scabs to naturally fall off and avoid to scratch the area as it might cause infection. When cleaning your brows, you may notice some color on the cotton swab, this is also normal. The skin naturally exfoliates itself as it heals, pushing the extra pigment out.

Day 06 to 10:

Most of the flaking and shedding should be complete, and the pigment color will appear much lighter. It is normal for some pigment to not be absorbed after the first session, but don’t worry, your brow tattooist will correct this during your touch-up session, which should always be scheduled 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure.

Healed Results:

After the touch-up, expect your brows to be fully healed in 4 weeks. You may now flaunt off your gorgeous brows for the next 12 to 18 months with minimum upkeep! Keep in mind that tattooing your brows does not prevent undesired hair growth, you will still need to maintain your regular waxing/threading or tweezing routine as needed.
